Tripoli was among the first centers of Mouvement Social to open in the early 1970’s. At the end of the Lebanese war in 1975, it was moved to Thakafa Street, before finally setting up base in the current address on the Nejmeh Roundabout, a central location at the heart of the city.
At the time, a local research showed the lack of dental services in the city, which led to the opening of a dental clinic at the center.
Today, Tripoli center focuses on educational and child protection projects in addition to socio-economic programs for vulnerable youth and women.
