Founded in 1979, Nabatiyeh center’s work started in Doueir, addressing the needs of challenged families through programs for women and children, in addition to direct support to needy orphans.
In 1982, the center was transferred to Nabatiyeh, and started insuring a link between the International Red Cross and the detainees in Israeli prisons during Israel’s invasion of Lebanon.
After the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, our activities were expanded in 1985-1995, to include medical services, food cooperatives, a school, and various developmental projects.
Since 1995, Nabatiyeh center’s work has been redirected towards youth development and empowerment programs.
